You sure have talent! My favorite one, is the pencil holder. Do you take lessons? Do you use water color or oil?

God Bless,
Lois

Hi Lois,

No, I do not take lessons. My grandma paints really good so she showed me how to do a few techniques but that was all. I don't use water color or oil. I am not quite sure what kind I use. The painting is called Toll Painting.

Thanks for the comment!!

Lovely paintings! I like the snowmen and the pencil holder. Did you also draw the snowmen, or just painted them?

Hello Carissa,

I'm Rebekah, sister of Lois and all the other girls :)
I especially like the painting with the snowmen! They remind me of a stuffed snowman I had when I was little and I really "loved".
I kept that snowman for several years until one day I gave it away when it got ruined. I liked it better than a teddy bear! It was so soft and cuddly.

I like drawing a lot...I don't have much experience with painting. Keep up the work- you might even be able to start a small business on etsy! Just a thought :)

Hi Abigail,

I did not draw the snowmen. I traced them from a painting book that I have.

Hello Rebekah,

Thanks for the comment, Rebekah! I don't know how to draw that good. I have drawn a few things such as a sidewinder snake, a bird, a vine snake and a shark.

Hi Amy,

Thanks for the comment you left me. It was a really nice surprise. Thanks for setting up my blog button for me. It is soooo extremely pretty.

Carissa
I like your blog button! Did you or one of your sisters take the picture?
The movie with William Carey is called: Candle in the Dark. It’s not the best quality though.

Hi Abigail,

Amy took the picture and she set up the blog button for me.

Thanks for telling me the name of the film. I think it would be really interesting to watch.

You are so talented, Carissa! I love these works of art that you have made! Especially the pencil holder. :)

Too bad you don't live closer as maybe then I could take lessons from you. :) I am so un-artistic, and can do hardly anything with a paintbrush in my hand!

Craft : : Puzzle Hearts

(Sorry for the poor photo)
So here is a tutorial on how to make these cute puzzle hearts.
Materials *Puzzle with missing pieces *Hot glue gun *Heart template (For the heart template just draw a heart shape the size you want or trace around a heart)
Directions 1. Lay puzzle pieces around the outside edge of the heart template until they all lay nicely with no big gaps 2. Lay another layer of puzzle pieces on top and then glue those pieces on one by one 3. Lay two more layers on top and glue them on as before 4. Paint the heart the color that you want and glue a ribbon to the back...if you are giving it as a gift you can add a little gift tag
Helpful Hints Make sure before you start that nobody wants to put the puzzle together :D When you lay out the layers of puzzle pieces lay them on top of each brick style so that all the pieces are connected and it won't fall apart when you pick it up Have fun!! :D
Please comment and tell me if you try it out :D

Meditations // Jeremiah 1:6-8

"Then I said, 'Ah Lord God! Behold I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth.' But the Lord said to me, 'Do not say "I am only a youth" for to all to whom I send you, you shall go, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you,' declares the Lord." --Jeremiah 1:6-8 In this passage God commands Jeremiah to speak to the people on His behalf and what does Jeremiah do? "I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth." This wasn't an easy task, nor would it be a fun task, or a task where the people would love him, it was a difficult, uncomfortable hard task. Jeremiah thought himself too young. Jeremiah didn't think that God could use him because of his age. But what does God say? That HE would be with Jeremiah, give him the words to say, and deliver him. God doesn't just command him to do something, he also gives us promises to go with that command.

Photoshoot // Bethany

The other day Bethany and I ventured out to get some new photos for her. We found this really cool-looking church building for our background. Thanks so much for letting me take pictures of you, Bethany! Love you, sister! <3
