Washing Feet

In John 13 we read an amazing story - Jesus washing the disciples' feet. In Biblical times the roads were very dirty and muddy, people walked everywhere, and they wore sandals. As a result everybody's feet got very dirty. It was the job of the lowest servant to wash people's feet. But in John 13 we see Jesus washing the disciples feet. Jesus wasn't the lowest servant, He was the greatest among them, yet He humbled Himself and washed their feet.

By so doing this He gave us an example and a command. The example - the Greatest One serving the lower ones. The command - " one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another." While in the OT there was the command to "Love your neighbor as yourself" this command reaches further. No longer are we just to love others as we love ourselves, but we are to love others as Jesus loved us.

2016 OHIO Scriptorium

This past week my family and I went to Ohio for the second annual Ohio Scriptorium. It was a great time of fellowship and quoting. We were all very encouraged by it. Here is the video that was put together for the event. =)
